FlanRou OMLOOP 27 - Sunday 28th February 2027

omloop

'road to the classics'

low entrant numbers, Inclusive, friendly and a little special.

DRAYCOTT Memorial hall, Latches Lane, Draycott, nr. cheddar, Somerset, BS27 3UE.

We love the spring classics, the parkour profile and all tarmac roads and lanes on FlanRou OMLOOP it's as close to 'Flanders' as we can, right here in Somerset on the Sedgemoor Levels. An annual gathering for regional 'roadmen', racers and riders from across the South West & South Wales. A large warm hall will greet you, to meet up with mates, share road stories and we might just have something to help warm you up once you finish. Book early, once we are full that is it.

APPROX 100k or 85k short route options.

OMLOOP is ridden on tarmac, some rough back lanes but in a 'Fondo' style. Similar to a Belgian classic, but right here on the Somerset Levels. Normal annual editions have around 575m of ascending.

No Timing Chips!

We don't want you 'racing for the deluded' on the open road. We want you to enjoy riding with your mates without any time pressure or comparison.

secret route - only revealed a few days before to entrants

OMLOOP is generally based on previous routes, which you all seem to love. We only send the GPS file out AFTER entry has closed to your email.

GPS Route & Physical Signage

Physical signage is put up on the course and GPS route files are emailed to entrants AFTER ONLINE ENTRY HAS CLOSED. Normally a couple of days BEFORE the ride.

brevet card

You'll also carry a Brevet Card with assistance contacts and a basic regional route map should you go well off course.

Large HEATED HQ

Allow some extra chill time once you're back at the hall for a little nourishment, there is never a rush, stay and chat for a while.
