This is FlanRou

Firstly we are riders,
not an events company

Our priority is always the parcour and how the route rides. We have a super bunch of loyal supporters who have kept us rolling out this nonsense for over ten years. We always want to encourage riders of all abilities to come along and rub shoulders together. Talented club riders, keen amateurs and those just looking to enjoy larking about together on new interesting territory. Riding without timing chips, so no pressure or any judgement. Ride what you like, wear what you like, just have a damn good time and feel part of something independent and a little different.

omloop

Early March, our ‘on road’ season opener enjoys a strong following from the regions hardcore ‘roadies’ around our Flanders style route.

We start and finish in a warm, spacious hall, essential for early spring weather. Some years have been ridden in shorts and even short sleeves. But we have also had ‘The Beast from the East’ editions where we were sandwiched between snow showers and yet that is often the most memorable editions with arduous 'baltic' conditions. Restricted numbers.

ribinoù

It's June, so lush green with tall grass. Ribinoù is ridden in gravel and drove 'sectors', our own version of Paris-Roubaix but rougher! These forgotten droves, back lanes and byways are linked together by tarmac sections to create a twist and turn of a ride that will keep you on your toes!

Every year we start from the well known local club ride meeting cafe 'Sweets' between Glastonbury and Wedmore. right in the heart of the Somerset levels. We recommend riding Gravel, CX or MTB bikes on this one. Always book early, limited places.

Darklands

A dusk start from Grand Tor Cycling in Shepton Mallet on Friday 4th July - something quite different, challenging and unique.

This ride will ONLY be available to our regular experienced riders and the numbers will be very restricted, likely by invite only. Ideal if you are looking to progress towards ultra rides or multi day events.
