'road to the classics'

An annual gathering for regional 'roadmen', racers and riders from across the South West & South Wales. A large warm hall to meet up with mates, share road stories and once you finish we might just have something to help warm you up. We love the spring classics, so the route profile, surfaced roads and lanes on FlanRou OMLOOP are as close to 'Flanders' as we can recreate. Only right here in Somerset on the Sedgemoor Levels.
Book early, because once we are full, that is it.

OMLOOP is ridden on tarmac, some rough back lanes but in a 'Fondo' style. Similar to a Belgian classic, all ridden right here on the Somerset Levels. Typically our annual editions have around 575m of ascending.
No Timing Chips!
We don't want you 'racing for the deluded' on the open road. We want you to enjoy riding with your mates without any time pressure or comparison.

OMLOOP is generally based on previous routes, which you all seem to love. We only send the GPS file out AFTER entry has closed to your email.
GPS Route & Physical Signage
GPS route files are emailed to entrants AFTER ONLINE ENTRY HAS CLOSED so normally a couple of days BEFORE the ride. Physical branded signage is also put up on our course.

You will be issued a Brevet Card at sign on with assistance contacts and a basic regional route map should you go well off course.

Allow some extra time once you're back at the hall for a little nourishment, so stay and chat for a while.
